Briess Ashburne Mild Malt can be used as base malt or as a high percentage specialty malt. Ashburne Mild Malt is typically used in Mild Ales, Brown Ales, Belgian Ales, and Barley Wines. This malted 2-Row grain is slightly darker with a higher dextrin level than Pale Ale Malt. It lends a higher residual maltiness / mouthfeel than other base malts.
